Angra do Heroísmo Identity Kit
This is a conceptual campaign project in which I chose a world heritage site to explore, research, and develop an engaging and memorable visual language to promote tourism and education of the place.
The world heritage site in my campaign is the Central Zone of the Town of Angra do Heroismo in the Azores Islands, Portugal. For the visual language, I learned about the city's culture and iconic colorful doos. My visual language is based on portal, meaning taking you from one place to another experience, connecting this idea to the iconic Azorean brightly colored doors. Doors open the possibilities of going to different places, demonstrating Azorean architecture, tradition, people, and culture.
I created three illustration-based images to be published as an Instagram post for the campaign, a custom layout foldable informational brochure, and a short animation with a storyboard explaining the animation process. The metaphor and visual language of portal show a new tradition to the audience with bold and colorful character and warm hospitality.
Olha! uma Ilha animation.
Animation promotes Angra with our three iconic characters the church, traditional lady, and bull. The animation will be on spaces like Instagram reels, Facebook, and Youtube. Under the video, there’s a storyboard that explains the process of creating the video. Enjoy!
